Here is bean map, pretty dismal.

The red piece is a north facing hill to the south west of the picture, it has never produced, will put it in tall grass, CRP or not.

I appreciate all the comments.

It is actually quite a historic area. My place is about the west edge of the land that was captured from the Indians before the Louisiana purchase. The place was settled in 1833, deeded to soldier for his service in war of 1812, fellow is buried down the road at local cemetery with his wife who was daughter of the revolution. This is the third home on this land, first was log cabin, then post and beam built around 1850s. then this one. I tore the middle house down, or really just touched it with backhoe and it fell down due to termites. There are rolling hills all around, The town down the hill has a lot of pre civil war federalist houses. Grant Wood was born about 20 miles North, so the hills look a lot like his paintings. I bought the land before prices shot up here, cleared the lot, built the house, planted trees and built shed, so a lot of sweat equity in it. I am 57, hope to live here another 15-20 years, then see where life takes me.
