valve core removal

I am trying to get a valve core out of a tire that was loaded with calcium chloride. It is corroded and someone has tried to get it out and now there is nothing left for the valve core tool to grab hold of. Is there any way to get it out?

I had to place valve assembly at TDC:

Held VALVE ASSENBLY with vise grip and turned core out:

When core assembly removed I placed a tube over portion left in rim to direct to container:

2X what Bob said but there is of course the chance that someone before you did not use the correct tube and stem. Then you are pretty much SOL.

If the stem is a plain old one piece stem your only option is to cut it off. If the core is stuck that bad the stem (or tube) needs to be replaced anyway.

Turn the wheel to put the stem at the top. Use a jack to take the weight off and spin the whole stem out. You'll lose very little if any fluid.

No so at all . On the one piece common stems I can take a small drill punch out the old stem and take the small valve core removing tool and rethread the tube. Actually some of the tools have an end on them much like a ease out and will some times let you remove the bad stem but drilling works ever time.
