1953 John Deere 50

well got a update for you when you buy a tractor that's been sitting in a shed for 10 years don't forget to check the air breather before you start it because mice might have been living in there that's why my 50 was blowing oil out the exhaust any way guess $500 for a John Deere 50 was a good deal runs like a champ! might smoke for a while till it burns the oil out Tanks Howard

My dad had a Goldwing that way stored for a couple years before he passed. I got it started to sell it, and noticed little chunks flying out of the mufflers. Mice had stuffed the pipes full of barley.

They put corn in the muffler on my mule a couple years ago. I started it up and heard a rattling sound so I walked around the back just as some corn flew out. Took most of the summer for it to get out. I always wondered if the mouse was in there eating when I started it up because they never put anymore in it

Several years ago I started my old John Deere D. It had a custom built muffler on it. It blew out a big wasp nest out of it. They were as mad as hornets. Some of my old John Deere's that I haven't ran for a while have wasp nests in the air cleaner intake.

I bought a tractor once the exhaust including the manifold was full of hickory nuts.
