JD 35 Loader

I need a hydraulic lift cylinder for a John Deere 35 loader. The shear pin in one of my cylinders scratched the cylinder and ram. my local hydraulic shop wants $1,100.00 to build a new one. Anybody out there has one? I don't care if I have to rebuild it...

Let me know,

Jon

Welcome to YT
Have you consider checking for a replacement cylinder with a hyd supply place such as Bailey's Hyd or Surplus Center? Recently I bought a new 2X10 cylinder for about the same price as a repair kit.

I don?t know if I have the right item, but my google shewn fe shows lift cylinders for a 35 loader, $350 to 250. 1100 for a repair I?d expect them
to come get, fix the cylinder, do any maintenance needed, and deliver it.

there are 2 different cylinders for the #35 loader depending upon when built. I think the later ones were probably heavier since the #35 could be used on 3010s. I have not delt with the suppliers mentioned except Surplus center and they have always been good to work with

The issue that I have is cylinder
is odd size and has a square
tubing that pins to tractor. I was
hoping to match it to the existing
one that I rebuilt.

You can view parts schematic at JD parts.com parts catalog 863. I think you must be referring to spring pin(key 16) as a shear pin. The cylinder for 3010 that hayfarmer referred to utilizes a nut in place of a spring pin.
