Spent all day along I-70 today from Columbus Ohio to Indianapolis and back east of Columbus again. Was raining hard all evening. My dear sainted mother who raised 9 of us kids, 7 of us boys, did it without ever saying a word that even bordered on cursing. She would have said it was raining cats and dogs. My father who would use the occasional soft curse word would have said it was raining like a cow pi**ing on a flat rock. I'm not sure which is the harder rain, or if there is a difference, but in either case it would have been raining very hard. I just wish I could claim to having the same quality of langauge.
