John Deere 332 Re-Visited

Well I went back to the local lawnmower shop here in town and offered the owner $800 for the John Deere 332 Diesel that some one traded in. It runs and mows good. It's not charging and the steering linkage and front axle pivot needs to have new bushings to take the play out of the steering if there are bushings. It's not real bad. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it just yet but it'll work until the end of the season I figure. I have to get rid of my zero turn I've had for 13 years. Using the hand controls aggravates my glossopharyngeal neuralgia even though I've had surgery for it. Aging always seems to catch up with us some how..

You got a great deal on the mower. How does the hand controlled hydrostat not bother your hands??? I really like the newer models with the foot controlled hydrostat. I have become spoiled by power steering. LOL

You stole it at that price. Mine has over 2500 hours on it and still takes no oil. Very easy on fuel too. Make sure to keep the radiator screen clean. Make sure the temperature light works, and keep an eye on it in hot weather. They will run hot if the airflow is restricted to the radiator.

The hydrostat hand control is okay to use cause my hand isn't constantly on it to make the tractor move like my zero turn. I wish it did have a foot pedal for the hydrostat.
It does have power steering which is nice. It has front & rear hydraulic hookups too!

One of the best lawn and garden tractors JD ever made. You got a steal on it.

I guess I don't understand. My O-turn is easier to drive than a steering wheel. If one hand doesn't work right. I set speed with that lever and drive with the other. But hope this works for you.

Worked on a couple of those. Seems like the alt. is really close to the exhaust manifold which cooks the rear alt. bearing. One the alt. locked up burnt the belt off and it in turn grabbed the wiring harness and wrapped it all up around the driveshaft ! That was a 330 with a mech. shut off so it keep running.
