Power steering question

I replaced the power steering pump in my wife's f-150 4x4 about 4 months ago.it was hard to steer at idle and the new one(rebuilt) is now doing exactly the same thing! It's under warranty but I suspect something else causing this failure?????

Oh it's an 09 and has 215,000 miles,3" lift and 33x12:50-20's

A pressure check could identify whether or not there is a restriction that would cause excess pressure/heat and wear on the pump. Does it have new sound when turning that was not there before this started? Jim

Could be that there is some internal leakage that is allowing too much pressure to bleed off at idle. Maybe a steering box is the next step.

May be a dumb question but is its idle slower than normal?
