Craigs list

I wish Craigs list would seperate the Farm & Garden listings. I get so tired of looking at nothing but lawn items or pets when I try to search for machinery. I look for 4 wheel hay rakes, horse drawn mowers and certain models of grain drills or corn planters. The corn planter that I look for is a McCormick 449 or 450 and grain drills that are steel wheel models. Any models of 4 wheel rakes or McCormick No. 7 & 9 mowers. This is what the Amish want that I try to find for them. To have to look at hundresd of adds not related to farm is agrivating and time consuming. And most of the time if somebody has the item they do not know what it is to correctly list it if you could look for it by name.

Do you use the "search function"? I use the search function to look for CASE tractors. I still get caseih and some others but not all the long horn cattle and horses and other stuff. I also use the picture display feature as I can just glance at the pictures for any item of interest. Works for me. Ofcourse you still get to see some of the same old stuff day after day after day. Which is why I use the search function. gobble

Trouble is most people don't know what they have. I click on endless John Deere Tractors only to find out it is a lawn mower ! LOL.
Many of the car & truck ads they don't even list what engine or transmission !

I like the tractor ads on Craigs list - people want $20,000 for $5000 tractor made back in 1950. Maybe has something to do with the same ad being there month after month.

Go to upper left corner above event calander where it has search craigslist and put your search there.

It doesn't matter what engine is in a car anymore. All that matters is the number of cup holders and if the car has bluetooth and WiFi.

There is one there now. For an old MCCK Onan 1973 model I believe. Got a half way decent paint job but still shows problems. Guy wants 7500.00 plus 250.00 dollars shipping. Real worth is around 275.00 dollars. I think he will keep it for awhile.

I've found that some of the best deals are the ones with such poorly written ads that most people don't bother with them. If you are in a hurry, buy from a dealer.

Search function has not worked for me before. I just tried putting in hay rake and come up with 150,000 earth movers.

Just found a couple of rakes for double their value, one was a $150 max rake asking $1,500 for. Have no idea what he is thinking.

Is that on here? Find events calander but no place like you are talking about.

Only the Amish dealers that I buy for will work with what I am looking for. Just hope to find somebody that still has something of that setting in the fence row.

And if you find an add with an email that says copy and past. HOW DO YOU COPY AND PASTE?

It's to bad your so far from me since I still have most of that IH rake I have been selling part off of. Shoot I have it taken apart to the point it can be hauled in a pick up. By the way did you get what I sent you

I just tried searching for horse drawn mower and for four wheel rake on my local farm and garden and got zero for both.

Wouldn't matter because the users wouldn't place the ads in the proper place anyway.

Try searching for "cycle mower". Just as likely to get a result as "sickle mower".

Do you ever place a "Wanted to buy" ad? It might be enough to move someone who doesn't think an old machine is worth anything.

Two horse drawn mowers at sale in Holton Kansas tomorrow. One is 5 ft. and the other is 6 ft. Was't interested so I dont know the manufacturer. Try Harris Auction or Holton livestock Exchange on line.

On the mouse, left click and then hold it and go across what you want to copy. This should highlight the item. Then right click and chose copy. Go to where you want to paste the item and then right click in the box or page and chose paste. Then hit the enter key and it should go to the website you want or copy to a page you desire.

Click and drag your pointer over the text you want to copy to select it, it'll turn color (usually to white-on-black, but it'll be obvious). Put pointer over selected text and right-click, then click "copy". Or use ctrl-c after you select it. Open your e-mail, "new", click into the recipient or addressee box, again right-click, then click "paste". Or use ctrl-v. Beware of doing this on Craig's list, especially if it's a screaming good deal, it's probably a scammer that will want you to send a money order to a third party. I almost "bought" a very clean small tractor with low hours and a loader for about 3000 until they got to the part about the money order. If it sounds too good to be true...

Yes, it is Craigs list reply but it is only a $200 hay rake about 70 mile from me. So If I do that on his email and then open my email program I will not loose his information. I can only have one screen open at a time.. Other ones are also hay rakes of up to $400 and within a hundred mile of me. So all would be cash on the barelhead when I look at them and ready to load on my trailer.

Usually if the ad wants you to copy and paste an email, it's a scam.

It is Craigs list for ALL ads not the poster. They seen to think it is easier than typing in their email to fordward your inquirey to the seller. Going to have to try typing in the 15-20 itens and see if it will go. I have trouble sending any new emails, if I have a link to go to not so bad in replying to an email.
