Anybody out there ever have any luck on finding piston sleeves and rings for the a4.300 engine. I am definently not new to this tractor have done a fair bit of work to her. just did the head but it is in need of sleeves and pistons. I have looked ever where. I work at a salvage yard and have many aftermarket dealers and have not come up with anything yet. just wondered if anyone has found. I may end up just getting a 1080 engine and putting it in instead can atleast get engine parts for the a4.318

The Perkins A-4300 originally uses steel sleeves with chrome plating inside the bore. Not sure the pistons, sleeves with rings are available in kit form, used to be available though separately through MF. Block COULD be machined for the 318 sleeve, and use the 318 pistons with rings BUT the crank would need replaced too with the five inch stroke 318 crank. Rods are the same for both 300 and 318, piston pin height is the difference. My S90 has no sleeves, bores finished for Case 4 5/8 pistons for puller use. Wouldn't be best for daily use though..

I found one to replace my cracked one through my dealer. I think it ame from england. I
think $150 for just the sleeve.

I have one that needs a head gasket and a flat fixed. buy it all.
