Coop e3/Cockshutt 30

I'm planning to put a wide front on a Coop E3 (essentially the same tractor as a Cockshutt 30) as it originally had one until a prior owner took it off.
I have two questions:
1. I have seen two different styles of wide fronts on this type of tractor. The most common seems to be one that has lots of flat surfaces, but I have also seen a rather heavy one that has mostly round surfaces instead of flat ones. Does anyone know which style was "factory", or were both of them?
2. About what should one expect to pay for a wide front for this model?

You need to post down on the Oliver Cockshutt Board. Phil Heisey and others have lots of Cockshutt parts. They can steer you in the right direction. I have a 30 that I took the standard wide front out and replaced it with a narrow front, but I do not want to sell it. I have a 570 with a wide adjustable under it.

cheapest and in my opinion would be to buy a parts tractor with the front you want. lots of parts for future and parts suppliers likely will want as much as auction or just an individual for whole tractor.

You have to watch the adjustable wide fronts,if they haven't been move in or out for awhile they get stuck in one position and are a bear to get loosened up again. I have not yet found a easy way to get them loose.

Very good literature--thanks! The wide front shown in the literature is the style with the "flat surfaces" I was referring to.

I could never get the hang of posting links here. Hold your mouse button down while you drag the cursor across the complete link so it is highlighted. Then either right-click and click Copy or go to the Edit dropdown for Copy. Then click in your browser and Paste. I have more COOP and Cockshutt literature but since I drank the Windows 10 koolaid my scanner doesn't cooperate.

Thanks for posting those links. Very interesting. I have a 40 and 50. The only thing I like about the "classic view" of this forum is the ability to post clickable links so I'll try to do it .
