Coffee drinkers

I love my coffee. Gets me going in the day, and my wife prepares it perfectly.

Sometimes I need to make it myself, though. These kcup machines are neat, put a cup in, press a button and presto, fresh coffee.

Been drinking coffee every since my Norwegian mother weaned me. Only drink a few cups a day , maybe 8-10. Drink it with a bit of cream , and very little sugar ,
or just black And only if it is hot , or if it is cold. Think I'll go get another.

Wife and I are addicts. It's all we talk about from crawling out of bed to the kitchen in the morning. If we miss one we get caffeine withdrawal headaches in the afternoon. Had to
make a special trip out yesterday because we were down to a two day supply.

At 37 years old I bet I have only had
2-3 cups in my life. I do try it again
occasionally mostly in winter when
working outside it always smells so
good and the after a sip taste so bad.
Lol I guess I'll just enjoy the aroma.

When I had to spend 10 hours a day behind a desk I drank the best part of three 12 cup pots at work. I now drink one 12 cup pot a day myself that I start at five in the morning and I don't spoil it with sugar or cream cause I do like coffee. I drink at it all day until gone and switch to water. Dixie has her own single cup machine and makes the DARK crap. I don't feel any different after I drink coffee than I did before. When I have to fast for blood tests I don't drink any thing and don't feel the need for coffee when it is over. I never drank coffee until I was in my 20's. Coffee is the only adult beverage I have ever drank though.

I quit for about a year there. It was bothering my stomach and making me feel a little off. I guess I got it out of my system so I can drink a little bit again without the side effects.

Gotta have a couple cups every
morning. One of our boys started
drinking coffee with me when he
was 5. Back then it was more milk
and sugar than coffee. Now we both
use a bit of almond milk and
honey. This time if year my wife
makes a pumpkin spice creamer
........oh so good!

Weekdays-One cup of coffee made in the Kurig knockoff. I would never spend that much money for an original that only makes a cup at a time.
That cup, and it is a good sized one, last me the trip to work, my 7 mile school bus route and the rest of the time until I get to punch out.

Saturday and Sunday is 3/4 pot set to brew at 6:00 in the Mr. Coffee. That means I need to get up before the 2 hour shut off. The smell
drifting up the stairs is so nice.

And of course it is BLACK. No sugar, creamer or anything that would detract from that flavorful oil floating on the top. Oh and Saturday
and Sunday was freshly ground the night before. Not chopped with one of those yuppie mills but ground in a vintage grinder.

Darn, Life is Good!

I barely remember trying it once as a kid
and it was the only thing hot we had and I
was cold. Don't drink anything hot.

I love my Coffee in the morn. grind my own nice and dark and thick, just like in the military. If you can
see the side of the cup through the coffee its not thick enough LOL

Never had a cup. I tasted it once.
British style tea around here. Even our grand daughters drink it.

Good water? Have you seen what fish do in water? Just kidding, I like a nice big drink of water about as much as anything.

1-34oz cup every morning. With a little hot chocolate in it to make crappy truck stop coffee drinkable, in less I'm in Ohio, those folks frown on mixing hot chocolate in your coffee.

Dad drink one cup after every meal. Always smelled good never tasted good. When going with wife father-in-law would say want a cup of coffee. I would say nope. Then one day at work five of us were taking a break and the boss come by and seen me not smoking or drinking coffee and told me to get to work. Next day I had coffee with me. Took me a while to like it. Now I GOT to have it every morning to get started.

I usually drink coffee until noon, then switch to diet green tea.

When I'm working in my office, I can go through a 10 cup pot during the course of the morning. Sometimes make a second pot.

One of my wife's brothers, Ed, (now deceased), functioned according to when he'd had his last cup of coffee. One time, he and I stayed at a motel in Grand Junction, Colorado and went to a restaurant called "Starvin' Arvin's" for coffee and rolls in the morning. Ed had a thermos jug that must have held at least a half gallon. He asked our waitress to fill it with coffee. Upshot was, when the waitress brought it back filled, Ed flirted with her to a point where she charged us for our cups of coffee and rolls and forgot to charge for that big thermos jug of coffee.

If I ever get back there, and if the place is still open, I may ease my conscience and pay them .

Coffee was getting pretty complicated, mixures of creamer and sugar, have the places you can't get plain black coffee anymore, it's more cream than coffee, and it's pretty heavy on the calories.

I've switched back to plain black of the hazlenut variety, no cream, one sugar. It took some getting used to, but I can really appreiciate the taste now.

I drank lots of coffee for forty years or more. The blacker and the stronger the better. Then it started giving me acid reflux so I had to quit drinking it regularly. Now I don't make coffee at home but I will sneak one in when I'm away from home, like right now in the motel room I'm in.

I drink at least a 12 cup pot everyday. Not only do I drink lots of coffee but I like it cold. Tastes way better. Got started on that when I was working all night in my bakery. I would get a cup of coffee, take a sip and then set it down to do something. Every sip got colder and colder until I learned to drink it cold and now at 85 I only drink COLD COFFEE. Even if I stop for coffee, I let it set until cold. Usually have a cold one drinking and a hot one to back it up later.

Well over the years, I have turned into a coffee snob. I roast my own. I do a batch about every two days. If its over a week old its stale. I buy green beans from a place in Chicago that imports different types from all over the world. Every region on the globe has different flavors. My favorites are Hawaiian and Indonesian coffee. The reason that some people don't like coffee is they buy it in cans or get it at restaurants. That makes it old and usually way too strong. Most coffee found in restaurants is nothing but yak bile. I have my coffee before I go out to breakfast and drink water while there. Usually about three cups for me in the morning. Anymore than that I will start to levitate....

My parents where coffee people they use to grind there coffee and make it. I use to like the smell of it in the house in the mornings. To my parents surprise was to find out that I could not have it. I tried to have it but I was always getting sick with it. I was in at a grocery store buying stuff yesterday and this man in front of me said to me (why are you always having a Pepsi) I said back you have your coffee I have sodas okay. Why do people have to buy Star bucks coffee I ask what is good in it at 5 t0 6 dollars a cup. My parents coffee beans and grind was just as good or better than Star bucks.

Only have coffee on the weekend. Never more than 2. Wife has
coffee every day. Usually one or two. We also.use the k cups.
That way we waste less. I stopped drinking coffee during the
week when I bought my current truck 5 years ago. For me it was
coffee and a couple cigarettes on the way to work with very
morning. Didn't want to smoke in new vehicle so no morning
coffee. The two just really went together for me. During the
winter I will have tea with honey and lemon though.

I use to drink a gallon or so a day, started having irregular heartbeat, went to the Dr.he said to much caffeine.changed to decafe the problem
went away.Went back to regular,just a cup or 2 a day.Everything is fine.

Jay........my folks drank coffee, and as a kid they'd fill a cup with milk and just a touch of coffee and spoon some sugar in it. When I got BoyScout camping, we'd have this big ol'can settin' on edge of campfire and when the water boiled, we'd dump a baggy fulla grounds in it. Then after we could smell the coffee, we'd putta clean ROCK in it to settle the grounds, and punch some holes in the canned milk and cream it. No matter how carefull, the can alway leaked when you put it back into your backpack. So I quit drinking coffee with cream. When I worked for the forest service, we'd stop and visit these ol'sheep herders, they'd dump some of the grounds out and fill'r full of new grounds and water and offer us a cuppa TAR. Its NOT POLITE to refuse coffee. When I worked at a tracking station on the BIG island of Hawaii, the KONA school district didn't start until October, so the nimble fingered kids could pick coffee berrys during September. Most coffee growing places plant the coffee trees under shade trees so the berrys wouldn't gitt sunburned. In Kona, the afternoon sun was shaded by clouds blown in from the ocean. hummmn, time fer my coffee refil.......real coffee drinker Dell, NO LO-CAFF fer me

My neighbor used to like strong coffee. He said it should be strong enough to float a
ball bearing.

my wife tells people I don't need a cup for my coffee more like a fork or spoon.
I can't drink the good stuff anymore just the decaf.
I like the dunkin donuts brand;rest the stuff that comes in cans has a bitter taste.

I drink a pot (8 cups) a day Columbian (but never after noon). Keep it in the freezer to keep it fresh. Gives me a lot
of pleasure for the small amount of cost and health downside.

Old story...About 20 years ago I said to my assistant, "Gee, I'm so hyper I need to switch to decaf...she replied "you have been on decaf for 3 years".

About 15 years ago, a friend was all excited one day. He just got a package in the mail containing a half pound of some exotic coffee that cost him $75. He brought it over, brewed it up and gave me a cup to try. I took a couple sips, put the cup down, and said "Tastes like coffee...." He was mad enough to spit!
Coffee is coffee, beer is beer.....

I have drank coffee since I was about 5 yrs old. Had coffee and toast every day for breakfast. Then when I got a job, there was always a pot of coffee brewing in the office. After I retired, I was back to 1 cup a day. Maybe 2 at the diner on sat. morning. Now I have just a bout quit. Monday mornings I go down to my son's shop to putter around and I stop at Stewart's Shoppe and have a medium cup of that Richer Roast. quite a disappointment when the pot is empty.

I drink coffee day and night since I was in the service. To me, there is no better way to make coffee than an old fashioned percolator. I have an electric one that I am using now, plus a spare, but when they are gone, it is back to boiling it in a pot on the stove. A friend of mine had me try some of that fancy stuff and I told him he could keep it. I just flat didn't like the taste of it. I don't want any flavored coffee of any kind, just plain coffee here. I go through around two pots a day, and that is less than half of what I drank when I was working. Outside of coffee, I only drink beer. The last time I drank any water was 1966.
