We took a little trip

Monday morning the wife and I started out on a couple days trip (lasted all week) We went thru WV, Pa, NY, Conn, MASS, NH, and had dinner Tuesday in Maine. She had mentioned that she'd like to know if lobster fresh from the ocean tasted better. She found out that it's a world above Red Lobster. We went to Gettysburg Pa, then we tried to do the walking tour in Boston, I made it to the old North church and had to go back. The waves were pretty high in York Maine but it sure was pretty. We then went back down to Gloster (sp) Mass. and went whale watching (the best 5 hours of the trip)saw a Bunch of Humpback whales and a smaller whale that I can't remember what it was. We had no direction in mind, just went where we wanted to and had a great time doing it.

Red lobster? Anyone who has eaten fresh seafood knows red lobster is not that great. My opinion of course. Can't even find one in south La.

I'm sure your right. Just found out last year Taco Bell ain't authentic Mexican food. Sure like their burritos though.

When I was in jet fighters in the Marine Corps, it was always interesting how during the right time of year all of these weekend cross country training flights were scheduled up into New England.

Sunday evening, all of these jet fighters would come back with the ammo compartments stuffed full of lobsters. At cruise altitude, the ammo compartments would be well below freezing, so there was no problem with spoilage.

Need a laugh? Try translating some of their names for foods into English.
I'll start off with a couple:
Gordita. Literal translation would be "little fat girl."
How about Burrito? Try "little donkey" or "little burro."

I like the spur of the moment trips, a year ago in June it was scorching hot and humid, one night wife says can't we go some where cooler for a couple of days. Told her to pack and we went to Copper Harbor Michigan, seen some water falls and light houses and got cooled off.

People up there must get lost a bunch if they have to put those big lights on their houses.
