My IH454's steering was always a bit iffy at high speeds (I need to drive it on the road between two fields a mile apart). I've had new spindle thrust bearings sitting on my parts rack for a year now, and this
morning I finally had a little time to put them in and then went for a little drive. Wow, does that feel good now.
The bearings I took out, BTW, had about half their balls missing, and the remaining balls were more square than round. Don'tcha hate it when that happens?
