I know the feeling they are not for sale! Some day's its just great to take a tractor ride. I use mine just to check the fence and it sure helps clear your head. I just got home from hernia surgery around 4:30 so no tractor driving for awhile.

That 8n wonders why you are slacking on the job also. Take it for a drive down the road so when your neighbors see you go by, they will say wonder where Larry is going.

You better keep it. You'll miss it and it will be lonely without you ! Tractors have feelings too !

That's a beauty Larry! Even if you don't feel up to driving it right now it's something you love that you can look at and look forward to driving again hopefully before too long.

There is NO GOOD reason to sell it. It won't mind a little extra shed time. It
will be there when the time comes.

Make it a specific entry in your papers so you know where it will go eventually. Making a determination will give the little tractor a feeling of known future. Even if it happens 30 years from now. Jim

I also would never part with the 860, been offered way more than I paid for it...i just remember my dad enjoying it so much...

I have two that will never leave here as long as I can help it. One was purchased new by my grandfather in '47. And one that my dad bought.

I haven't said it yet but a farmer near here went through what you are now some years back plus heart problems and he is still going strong. Keep your spirits up, you have to visit the wood king and the pie king. Hahaha

we go thru this every time you do chemo. bend over, place your hands between your knees, grab your ears and pull your head out. this is no time to make decisions as we know you feel like crap and the world is coming to an end for you. you are wrong on that thought. there are too many of us praying for you and that need you around to post pictures and show us how to grow turnips and show us the wonderful skills you have. cheer up and look at that Ford, use it to remember the times you have used it and will use it again. if for nothing else just to drive around that Pennsylvania farm for pleasure.

Well Lar, I have 2 of them and I only have 3 off breeds in my herd, and I will always have one, how could you do "Ford Farming" without one!

You will feel even worse if you sell it. Sold my Dad's 2N in 1980 3 years after he died. Boy did I regret it. In 2001 I was lucky to buy it back at auction from the estate of the fellow that I had sold it to. Never again, fortunately I have a son and grandson who will take care of it.

Kinda in the same boat as you are Larry, "kinda".
Have to sell everything we own "long story" but my 8N will stay through he$$ or high water, even though yours has a dent in the hood  you gotta keep it!!

My first thought was: Good decision. (You can always sell at a later point... but you usually can't get them back after they're sold.)

My second thought was the same as Kruser. LOL
Yer dottir may get a husband who wants that tractor someday.

Nice 860.

I have a similar 55, 860.

I don't use mine much anymore after converting to Kubotas but I keep it and my 51 and 52 8Ns around.

yes,And I am sorry,,this medication makes me sad,and messed up,as the week goes on I get worse,,time to slow down typing and sit back awhile. Please except my apologies.

I know how you feel, going to Sloan tomorrow morning for my chemo. Will feel like crap for a few days.At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.Your cancer is starting to go in remission. I can't ,my cancer is not curable, they can only keep it in check. So i have to stay on chemo to stay alive.
