What is the name of this bolt

I'm not having any luck finding new ones without a name.
They are not carriage bolts, there's no square under the head.
They hold a Ferguson clamp style (not 6 loop) rim to the center.
They do not have the little dimple like the Ferguson 6 loop rim
to center bolts have either. They are smooth, round bolts with
two sides of the head flat to fit in a slot and hold them.

I hope I don't steer you in the wrong direction, but I suspect your local Fastenal store can order them, even if they would be made in China.

Special bolt that is used on the one tractor or that brand of tractor. Could well be obsolete to boot. I would try the dealer and see if they can still be found. Cross your fingers and hope they are still used on at least one of the tractors but since ACGO now owns Ferguson who knows what you might or might not find

I don't know Royse, but here's the Agco part number: 180876M1 12 used (5/8x2 11/16" NF Special) if you want to call Farm Depot in the morning.

Thank you Randy, I'll ask them.
I wonder if the number has been superseded or maybe the
online sellers have it mixed up. Everywhere I look for that
number they show the bolts for the 6 loop rims, or they show
plain old carriage bolts. The Fergy 6 loop bolts have the little
dimple circled in the picture to hold them, but these bolts do not.
I could probably grind it down smooth as long as the flats
on the head are the right width to fit in the slot.
Or maybe I could just use a square headed bolt of the right size.
They are 5/8 UNF 2 1/8 inch long.

There's a 828217M1 too. Only 8 used. That one's 2 7/8 long though.

There's a 623761M1,but no dimensions on that one. It looks to me like a common carriage bolt. Only 8 used on that one too.

Thanks again. I really appreciate you taking the time to look up
the part numbers for me. I'll take them in and see what they say.

I've pretty much ruled out using any standard new bolt unless
I want to use a wrench on the back side. The old 5/8 bolts had
1 1/16 heads, as are the flats on these bolts and the nuts.
New ones are 15/16 so they wouldn't hold in the slot.

That's a good thought Russ but the heads aren't wide enough on the
new bolts to reach the edges that should hold them once ground flat.
They barely reach prior to any grinding.

"I think structural steel bolts would have a 1 1/16 head"

Yes they do. Thanks Russ. They're hex head and course thread,
but I can live with that as long as they'll hold themselves in the
slot, which I think they will. They come in 2 1/4 length, which is
very close to my 2 1/8 also. And at about $2 each, probably way
cheaper than the originals. Now I have another option. :)

Hi, UK made IH tractors had the same rim bolts. So maybe a British standard. They are very difficult to remove if some calcium chloride leaks
on them as the head will round off and not hold anymore.

If you can get a part number try Baker & Sons in Lewisville, Ohio (www.bakerandsons.com) They handle a lot of obsolete parts for
Massey Ferguson. I got some obsolete Ferguson mower parts from them. They have a partial list on their website of what they have.

I didn't think about getting them from YT, it looks like they have the ones with the little key under the head, fine thread with a nut, for
about $3!

"it looks like they have the ones with the little key under the head"

Yes, they have those, but those are not the ones I need in this case.

T headed bolts are one name that brings up what you need. Milling machines and radial drill presses use them to hold fixtures to the bed/table of the tool. Even if they are too
wide at the T, they could be easily made to fit. Jim
