Pink flowers, looks like a Canada Thistle. Now, don't go blaming us Canadians for it as you have with the Canada Goose! Lol. Ben
 
Hey Ben, Probably seeds got dropped off there and here also by winged Canadian couriers, AKA geese Sure wish you guys would quit growing them things, and dispatching them here also. HeHe.

OK, Thanks... I know it is a variety of thistle. Not Bull thistle. Not sure about Canadian Thistle. but it is 'new' here in so. MICH.

It looks a little poor, you might try some fertilizer. Have you had a soil test? Mine are looking a lot better.
 
It is a thistle. Sprays will kill it pretty easily...but...most thistles are biennial. You will need to spray it for 2 years in a row to fully kill it. Some of the folks here can better explain that cycle than I can.
