Just what I want to hear mowing over 100 acres flat no rocks. Probably a ocean view also.I gave it to someone else, a little younger. This time of the season I should be finished mowing. The job is on a military base. I think there would be a few hoops to jump through to get my tractor on the base. Maybe I am getting too old? just wasn't interested. I have a fairly big job next week that should be it for this year. Anyone do work on a military base? Stan

Stan, military bases deal with contractors all the time. They also rent equipment on a regular basis. The biggest hangup would be getting YOUR clearance. It takes some time. But once your in, your good to go. Contracting officers like to go the easy route if possible and once they have had a contract with you others are more likely. Might be better to have one big job rather than lots of smaller jobs. I do not know what the turn around time would be on your billing. Could be not so good, or not. gobble

I do utility work on the bases around me, dealing with the army corps of engineers is usually the biggest challenge for us. They can make or break you, I'm lucky I have been working with them for about 12 years and we get along.

No but when I had my Fab shop open I had to build a sorting conveyor and a hopper for the US postal service at one of there centers here in Mankato Mn. Holy cow I thought I was going to have to strip naked to get in that place.
