Finally had to change a tire

So 15-20 years ago a guy told me I needed to replace the rear tires on my W Speed Patrol. So today I went out to fire it up and found the left rear tire flat. Aired it up and well there was tube sticking out the side wall and it had a hole that I could almost patch where it was. But figured it would not last long if I did. So I finally put on the new tire on that side that I have had in the back of my machine shed for 15-20 years. Starting to wonder how long the other one will last before I have to install the other new tire I have waiting to be put on

Don't be so dang stubborn! LOL...change it and be done then you will quit "wondering"! It will outlast both of us:)

Well the old one I still have on does not show the tube like the other one has for over 2 years and is holding up pretty good so I'll leave it on till I have to change it

Tires age (dry out, rot and crack) and obviously you're not wearing down the tread at any great rate. So, I'd reclaim the space the "new" tire is taking up and install it at time that's not dictated by a failure.... But that's just me. The old ones are great for growing tomatoes in :D
