Looking for a little info. Have 9 tractors---I bought this Ford new in 99 and have a nice western plow for it. Just plowed our own drive. It has the gas V-10 automatic.
It has 85,000 miles--thinking that is low for the year, but it has seen Michigan winters so some rust. Any thoughts to the worth???? inc. the plow......thanks

I just trded a 25' IH disk for a 99 F-250 with a plow and 7.3 power stroke. We swapped even up he had been asking 9500 for pickup with snowplow. Truck was 7n very good shape but had a lot more miles on it.

V10's have a strong following. Those that have them, love them. I have a customer that swears by them. He says they do everything a diesel does, without the maintenance hassles. He basically tunes them up every 100k, then only changes the oil for 100k. He admits they like fuel, but says he can't pay for diesel maintenance on the mileage difference, and he has had both.

The 2 valve V10 is a pretty good engine and is equal the HP of the 7.3 diesel of the same year. About the only thing you have to worry about with them is the spark plug ejection issue. Shops have gotten that down to a fairly cheap repair.

To be honest the bigger issue I see is the snow plow. Every truck I've seen with a snow plow on the front has had the living **** beat of their powertrain.
