Have IH T20 not painted rusty looking what I us cover to protect with out painting.

wipe it down with linseed oil will sure help, you will have do do it every so often

If its in a building, I wouldn't cover it with anything else.
Other than wax or an oil based coating.
Blankets, tarps, etc. hold moisture in and provide shelter
for rodents. Not that you have much wiring to worry about.
But still...

My F-20 and nephew at work a few years ago.
