cleaning out a collapsing chicken coop

Very old coop that was used for storage after a newer one was built. Most of the contents are scrap but I just had to rescue these two forges. The legs are rusted out but the blowers still turn. The larger one is No. 81 Champion Blower and Forge, Lancaster, Pa. I remember FIL using the smaller one once in a while.

Nice!!

Of course, I see yard art... the larger forge covered with planters full of flowers and the smaller forge as maybe a tall spot for a small fire for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs.

Mike if you would be interested in selling the larger forge I would be interested. Email me if your think about selling it.

Yeah, get the fire going in the small one, then turn on the blower- cook those hot dogs in a hurry!

Mike, About a month ago we demolished a small barn and a small forge like that was inside. I asked and the owner said take it. I think I left a piece that looked like a round cover with maybe a 3 inch hole in the center. Just what I need around here more stuff! lol

I have the levers (wood handles are pretty well gone) and at least one flywheel. Some parts from the larger one may be missing as well as the flange behind the blower broken off. Good chance I'll find them when I finish the demo and clean up the area. Pallets that were under everything are rotted away and woodchucks have burrowed so a lot of stuff is buried.
