Good Morning,

My father had a Massey Furgson 85 tractor. Does anyone have a manual cor do. they know the oil viscosity and oil filer I should use with it?

I don't have the manual, but oil has changed a lot since that tractor was built.

If it were mine, I would run 15w-40 diesel oil, gas or diesel engine.

If you are in an exceptionally cold climate, might drop down to 10w-40.
 
If you would consider buying your filter online all you have to do is poke the YT "tractor parts" button above the home page. Then choose Massey Ferguson and choose your tractor model number etc. and pay by credit card. Soon a filter will be on its way to you. If you prefer scroll down there is a number to call in your order. However, any mainline auto parts store( to me that is NAPA or O'Reilleys) should be able to look up what filter you need. If nothing else write down the "replaces" numbers shown on this site and the parts store should be able to cross reference a filter number from that to order. In fact I went one better and posted a link for you to the filter offered by YT. Also welcome to YT!
