Speaking of Dump Trucks

Heck, that's a tri axle, my tandem weighs
65,000 loaded with gravel. Had it at 83,000
with wet gravel a couple times.

No charges were filed? Someone is either very well connected or has something over one or more county officials.

Legal load for a triaxle is 73,000 here but they allow you 5% over on payload. They often run heavy 80,000 is very likely.

They won t file charges as long as the county get a new bridge. And you can bet they are getting a new one, one way or another.
My father in law did the same thing with a new Ford tandem with an automatic transmission,he said he just drove it out and call the county and told them their bridge had fallen in. When they asked who was calling he just hung up.(back in the 60s)

(quoted from post at 21:15:05 08/28/17) The truck alone would weigh over 8k.

Yes, and most likely around 3 times that amount. 8k lbs is about what most 1 ton pickups weigh with a little bit of gear and doodads. The guy driving the truck is an idiot.

Right! A truck that I drive occasionally is 23,000 empty.
