Question - Looking for a Ford 861 Powermaster wiring diagram? Problem I have is either cranking nonstop or nothing at all.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

There are two reasons for the starter to keep running or to fail to run. Running -- First: A starter relay (solenoid) that sticks in the start (connected) position can
be the most likely reason. Second: The wiring to the starter relay, including the button, can be shorted to itself, or stuck in the "pushed" position. Some Ford starter
relays used a ground to a grounded switch to engage. This could cause a short to ground to cause continuous cranking.

Not cranking at the starter can be caused by a open non operational starter, or non operational Relay. It could also be a broken wire to the push button that sometimes
shorts to ground, and sometimes doesn't and is broken at the place where it touches the grounded component. Jim.

Troubleshooting technique for no start: Have someone hold the switch in "Start" position, whack the solenoid (relay) (Not too hard). If it
works, probably a loose wire nearby or the solenoid itself. Same technique if it is in continuous crank condition.
