farmall c wont start

I have a 1951 farmall c that has had a super c engine installed. I put a 240 governor spring in and a new distributor rotor and now it will not start. I put the old rotor back in and it has spark at the plugs. Fuel is getting to the carb, when I pull the plug on the bottom a steady stream runs out. It has always started hard but since an electronic ignition conversion always has started. It did run for a few seconds after the spring and rotor were added but now no luck! Does anyone have any ideas or do I need to go back to a normal process of elimination? Thank You for any ideas.

If you didn't change the timing, and the points are at .020, It should run. Take out the plugs and dry them out till hot with a propane torch. While still hot, use a rubber hose to put them back in (tighten of course) and I bet it will start. Jim

Thank you all for advice. The problem appears to be not connected to the work I had done. When I removed #1 spark plug and cranked to top dead center I found 4 or 5 tablespoons of anti-freeze on top of the piston I am hoping it is just a gasket! Any ideas? I have a house to finish building so it will be this winter before it gets fixed. thanks again. Steve
