What a mess

This is sure shaping up to be a mess with some spots expecting 24 to 36 inches of rain.
You guys in Texas stay safe with the unpredictable path over the next several days.

Yes,gonna be a mess. Spent the day picking up,locking down .Predicting 20" + here. 20mi inland 32 mi from La border. Dreading the hassle.May god bless those in the path .

I see where there is a mandatory evacuation of Hackberry and Holly beach in way S. La.

I will get rain, pretty sure of that, probably my son's family will come up and spend a couple of days from Lafayette. If it rains much here the lights go out, but got that covered. Putting the final touches on my generator cover.

As my wife says, it's more fun in Louisiana.

John, if you don't mind a couch to sleep on, and hot dogs and beer, your welcome to come by and watch the rain with us.

And out there in the slight to none is Abilene. We will take all we get. They still talk about the Columbus Day flood when a storm eye came up over Albany, Texas, I think it was 1981, before my time out here. Then I was living in Garland then

Here near Lafayette mostly a lot of rain expected. At least I'll make some money chasing downed trees on the track with my backhoe!

News we got says Victoria is in the worst area. We visited there a few years ago and there are a lot of fine older homes. May not be there after the storm blows thru. Not a time to doubt the weather guessers. Time to pack up and get out of town. You can pick up the pieces later. I live in Indiana but have been involved in relief work and rebuilding after Andrew in Florida, Katrina along the Gulf coast, Rita in September 2005, and Allison in 2001. Not looking forward to experiencing that again, but I can be ready in a few short hours.
