Setting up a truck with hydraulics

I have a 2000 F550 with PTO provisions for a dump body I'm going to be scraping and converting to a stake body. What kits would you recommend for adding basic hydraulics? I'm mostly interested in getting implements into transport mode, but might also add a 3pt hitch setup down the road. Just figure it would be handy for quick pick-ups. Is my thinking sound?

Does anyone make a portable unit that you can just run off a regular 12v system for my smaller truck? I'm not looking for speed, just a way to go into transport mode and keep pressure on without a tractor standing by.

The 550 was and is a very popular wrecker chassis, should be plenty of choices out there for hydraulics

The electric tilt pump on my gooseneck I plumbed a set of
tractor couplers in so I can unplug the tilt cylinders and hook it
to implements to raise them.

I guess maybe I was over thinking it eh? The dump body works, its just really rusted out and of limited use to me. I could just use that system with the right fittings and run things huh?

Got an international 4600 service truck that is
plumbed to the rear and I thought it was a neat idea
but would never use it. I was terribly wrong. I
thought the crane would be the nicest part but it is
definitely the ability to go fold or raise a bush hog,
disk or anything I want. Our jd bush hogs have the
kick stands on the tongue and it is so handy to not
have to road a tractor all the time especially since
we have tractors on both major farms.

I saw a truck with an added hydraulic oil reservoir feeding the filler neck of the power steering pump. They just took the filler cap off and hose clamped a hose on the pump.It ran the dump box with a power beyond hydraulic valve....cheap but slow.

You already have the main part, the pto pump, run a hyd line from the pump to a remote valve mounted under the bed in a location of your choosing, then run a return back to the tank.
I'd go with a dual remote like they sell at Tractor Supply that has the internal pressure relief valve.

I'd like to add hydraulics to my 04 F-450 but not sure if there's room for the pto and pump to mount on the zf6 trans and clean the transfer case.

I do have a engine mounted air compressor and tanks to air tires and run air tools.
