Didn't help that you put up four of my all time favorites. Checkerboard Oliver,D21,G1000 Vista and a 1030 Case. It's don't get no better than that.

They are all great, really nice workmanship! I have to give the nod to the only one with a factory muffler.

A No Brainer for me!! the 1030, but the Miny Mo is a close second. I am not a fan of chrome stacks though. I like my Case 931 with modified factory cab too.

Great looking group of tractors. I will take one of each. Think about the number of acres that group of tractors has covered as each was owned by the BTO's of their day and age. Maybe the best time period of US ag. Tom

It is a matter of some amusement to me that a feller will spend untold time and thousands of dollars sourcing all original parts right down to the dot-head bolts, and then put one of those goofy chrome stacks on it.

His tractor, his choice of course, but I reserve the right to giggle.

I'd say these would be a half year's worth of great calendar pictures especially if they were out doing their thing.

Come On Gina - Go for the 1206 !!!
Save the Oilallover for the rest of us! LOL
PS: DID like a a 1206 "in the day" AND still like seeing them pull 😎

We had the County Fair farm pull today, some local guys sure can wring the power out of those MMs and D21s! Everything here is green and yellow, I'd probably keep the tradition, but I like the look of the 1206...

And I wish I could still hear. Wonder if they will think that in later years. And I never ran anything without a muffler.

1206 came from the factory with an aluminized steel straight pipe. Little chrome never hurts. The turbo really quiets them down. D-21 did too, also turbo-charged.

Only way to quiet the Detroit Diesel down in the Oliver is to shut the danged thing OFF.

Very nice. I noticed quite a few what looks to be 4" chrome stacks. I bought a cosmetically restored (only had 3900 original hours) JD 4230 100 horse with the 400(ish) cu in 6 cyl. (like these) back in 2005. Exhaust manifold port was 4" since the 4430 was a turbo version of the engine at 125 horse. So I up and get a 3'x4" chrome stack for it. Talk about pretty....she was a parade queen, all decked out in American flags and all. Listening to that big six purr along as we moved along in the parade got a lot of thumbs up.

Yes, even though I had the Sound Guard Cab, I wore ear muffs. When I sold it first thing the new buyer did was to put a stock muffler back on it.....with it's stupid 1 ?" diameter outlet pipe......barf!
