good afternoon everyone my name is john and I'm a newbie here, I have recently acquired 2 mm m 5's tractors from a good friend of mine in a barter swap deal, and his wife wants the acreage cleaned up and I'm glad to help!! I live in carvel alberta Canada on a small acreage that we hay and sell to the horse crowd. I have been using a case 310b about 25 plus h.p. and no live pto, not enough tractor for our j. d. 336 square baler!! we got the first cut done but both the tractor and the driver got a workout. I am new to mm tractors and look forward to tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience on this forum and contributing where I can. will try and post pics of the first m5 we cut out of the trees, one more to go and a j. d. 24 t baler. my friend Harold says they where the best baling tractor he ever ran looking forward to restoring and running them.

The MM specific forum is at the top of the page. Experts on there can help you thru any
problems you run into.

thank you for the warm welcome and do you know how I attach pics to my post??? iv'e downloaded 3 pics twice but no idea where they went?? :?

New posters have to have a # of posts to post pictures. Kind of
a probationary period to weed out spammers. That or go to the
site comments forum to ask permission of our fine hosts here.
Welcome aboard! Lots of knowledge to be gained here on tractors
and about any other subject.

Welcome to the nuttiest group of tractor folk around. your pictures likely went the way of most new user's...to the land of non existence. The site has a new user probation period, lasting a number of posts before permission is granted for posting pictures (you can drop YT support a line(down below in Site comm. or by email), asking for early release)....after that find the search bar and look up "James Howell Picture Method"(or something similar), one of the results should bring up his pictured step by step procedure for posting pictures......Welcome again

Welcome. I'm a Deere guy, but like you, inherited some Minnies. Drove one to my farm office this afternoon- kinda my Harley. Have fun here... but sometimes you may need your boots!

If you're not in modern view, switch to it. Then go to the "Site comments" forum. About halfway down the first page there is a thread titled "Can't upload pictures". James Howell's detailed instructions will appear in that thread. Hope that helps.

I have been buying all of my Woods and Ford and Ferris parts from Messick's on line store for years. Just go to the parts page, click on Woods, then enter your model and it will display the parts pages. It is very easy to use, and the parts are almost always in stock, and reasonably priced.

thank you cory I went to james post on site comments and as soon as I get out of jail here(probation) i'll post pics of the first m5 cut out of the trees and more as we get out the other m5 and 24 t baler. thank to everyone for there warm welcome and all your help. john

Welcome to you too, Nancy....just a note for future reference, try not to post your number in the forums, send them in a private message(if possible) would be better...spammers(telemarketers) love openly given numbers, and they are always scanning posts(and trying to post there own) here.

Thank You Cory,

I'll keep that in mind. Yea anyone who has been looking for us for the Idler Bracket Assembly #8975. I was told that Woods doesn't make this part anymore.

If anyone has this mower if you could measure the part for me that would be great. We are planning on creating it the best we can.

But if someone has one, if you could measure it, I would greatly appreciate it.
