I found the old spray bottle last week. Then my brother turned up with the cardboard cylinders this morning. They have brake shoes in them. One is unopened. Any idea what the round metal covers go to?

The caps could have multiple uses. Gearboxes, etc. But the most common use would be on the final drives on the tractors.

Don't forget those old brake shoes contain asbestos. I know I have been exposed in the past and am not happy about it.

There was a cap for the right side on the WD and WD-45 when you took out the belt pulley

That was bigger than these, and it had sides, where it could slide right into the side rail of the tractor, or into the storage tube for the belt pulley.
