I'm thinking of buying a Farmall 130.Serial # is 4914J.I could'nt find a listing for 130s on the farmall model's page.The lady thought it was a 1953.Can anyone tell me?
 
It is not a 53 it is a mid year 1957. Nice little tractor. TractorData.com is a resource. Common parts with many other offset Farmalls. Jim
 
Thanks Jim.How does this compare to say a farmall A? I've had a cub for 28 yrs. and like it although a little underpowered with a 59 in. belly mower.
 
An A has a 113 CID engine and less than 20 HP. The 130 should have 5 to 7 more HP and hydraulics. The 130 will be 2.5 times more tractor than a cub. and 1.8 time an A. Jim
 
That's good news.This also has a 591n. belly mower.Should do the job I want.Also it has 2 pto shafts.One runs the mower and another out the back.
 
Yeah I keep it mowed pretty regular and it's just lawn grass.Little over 3 acres.I've done it for 28 yrs.If it get a little tall I just raise the deck a little.I bought this from a church when they decided to hire out their mowing.The guy who was doing it told me It had been honed out to 14 hp.
