Be careful checking your semi tires at night...

At about sundown when parking my semi I looked out my back window and thought dang I left a rubber strap in the drive. No, that's pretty big for a bungee! Got out and this dude slithers between the duals on the trailer. Man that would be a surprise if you got down there to check them! I don't even know what kind it is but they don't bother me, hope they eat all the mice they can find. I usually pick them up but this guy was 4' or so and I just kind of picked him up with a shovel handle and moved him out of the way. Night was cool on Friday night, think he was hanging out on the stone since it was still warm

Really can't see, but if he has a triangular head that means he is loaded for bear. Vennumm. They are faster then you are.

You ain't seen my wife around snakes!!

That's not what I thought you were going to say. While overseas we would check our tires every day several time. The one guy had a club and he really laid it on the tire. When he came to he had the biggest knot right between his eyes. Never thought about snakes in the duals

Listening to some of you guys reminds me of a guy I knew years ago who was terrified of snakes. After a field exercise where we saw a fair number of snakes we had a PLT party. When this guy was well into his cups he was telling everyone "if a snake bites me I'll bite it back"!

I was bush hogging a field a couple of weeks ago early morning and came across a good sized rock. I lifted the mower and slowly went over the top of it, then decided to get off the tractor and move it to a tree nearby. I reached down and saw what appeared to be chain links next to it. Instinctively I reached for them to see why someone would have a chain by the rock (maybe broke off some equipment when it hit the rock?). Soon as I reached down I realized it was a snake coiled up. Now that will make you jump back! Not sure where its head was, but I grabbed the rock and it slithered off. I think the long shadows and uncut grass made it harder to identify...
