I have a 1962 B414 that the pro keeps disengaging as I am mowing. Is there an easy adjustment for this. Thanks

Hi, is the PTO lever jumping out of the "Engaged Hole" in the side of the Diff case?

Or does the PTO stop turning even though the lever is still in the "Engaged Hole"?

Hi Papatom, we had a similar problem on a 434 same PTO mechanism as B414.

Solution, make sure locking hole and or pin on PTO lever is not worn.
We put a block of wood between the lever and Diff case and took a large box end wrench that fit over the end of the PTO lever
and bent it slightly to put more pressure on the pin in the locking hole.

Word od caution, if the PTO clutch is not releasing properly making the PTO engagement difficult, DO NOT FORCE the lever or the
roll pin on item #4 will shear off. Adjust clutch pedal travel to spec.

Shaft splines and/or collar splines are worn tapered or are twisted from abuse (hitting something immovable with w rotary cutter, for example).
