Hey ya'll, I own two ford 3000, my 1969 was made in England has a cracked block (that's another story). I bought a 1965 ford 3000 made in Belgium. Been using my 1969 as a parts locked. some differences, rear tires, fuel injector pump, wiring harness ... The question I have is that can I use a two piece wiring harness off the 1969 to replace the single wiring harness on the 1965 tractor. I would truly appreciate any info or help on this subject, Thanks, Ricko

yes...

there were differences in "add ons" but the basic wires were all the same... ie some models had additional wires for lights, horns, trailer brakes and trailer lights, flashing lights that the basic wiring harness did not have. the american wiring harness had only the basic wires, as the english and belgium harnesses had more wires for the """add-ons"" as they hauled crops to market on the roadways in those countries and had to meet more safety requirements than the american models. Some of the belguim models also had a fuse box that the american and english model did not have, but again, the basic wires were all there and the same. I am not sure the color code was 100% the same, but iirc most colors were the same. The ford service manuals shows all three wiring harness and the colors used, and all three models made it into america and are common.

Sorry about the late reply, Vacationing down in Texas, (boy it's hot down there!) Anyway thanks for the info I'll check the ford service manual, Ricko
