Half century of farm progress show questions

I've never been to the show in rantoul il before and would like to go and take one of my tractors but wasn't sure if I have to pay to bring it I seen on the website for general admission it's $15. If anyone has ever went and took something please fill me in on what to expect... I know that a golf cart would be nice to take but I no longer have one..

The few times l have been, the club doesn't charge admission for exhibitors. The show is organized by the I&I tractor club in Penfield I'll, and they don't charge exhibitors at their regular show, so unless things have changed , I'm pretty sure you're wristband will get you in and out alright. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Side note, if you don't have anything to ride around on, be prepared to do A Lot of walking or take some extra money to rent one there. Have a good time.DP

Yes, exhibitors entrance is northeast part of grounds.

I'm an exhibitor, I understood I can arrive the Monday before the show August 21 (will be in my RV) is that correct???

You can't go there and rent a golf cart. Fri. carts have been gone a long time--we got one for Sat 2 weeks ago......

I have been to the last three and took a tractor and plow to the last one. I don't think the tractor cost anything. They charge for side by sides and golf carts. It is a great experience. You have to be careful moving your tractor from place to place. There is a lot of people in the way. Later in the week, it gets worse. People don't watch their kids and they will run out in front of you. I look forward to it every time. We usually go Tuesday and look things over a couple of days. If you take a tractor, you go north of the main entrance and follow signs around to the rear of the grounds. That is if you come from I74, which is the only way I know.

Go to the Half Centry of Progress web site and go to GENERAL INFORMATION. This will answer most of your questions. Tractors and equipment and vendors come in the East gate and will be registered at the big hanger and you USUALLY will get two(2) arm bands that will be good for all days. Those coming in the main (West) gate will be charged $15 admission per person, $30 for all days and $30 per cart. Cart availability phone # is 866-275-2742. This info is at FAQ. Other inquiries is directed to CONTACT and the MAP will relate to parking, fields, etc. Prepare to be around LOTS of people but it will be worth it.
