Farmall wide frontend

Neighbor has a wide front end on Farmall 230 that he needs parts for. I checked the Case IH parts website and they have no listing for wide fronts on a 230 or a super c, yet I see seller listing factory wide fronts for both the 230 and super c.

Anybody have any ideas where to research parts for this front end. I do not think the neighbors tractor has a aftermarket front end.

He needs the part that attaches to the bolster that the tire rods connect to.

the 200, 230 240 are all grouped together in the online parts. the wide front end is in the attachments section. http://www.messicks.com/cas/59118
the arm looks to be 356599r2.
i think that arm is the same from the C to the 230, if you can find any of those models for parts.

Thanks. I guess I didn't look in the right spot. I finally came up with some info and apparently that part is very hard to find.

it the part broken or not there at all? i have heard of cutting the arm and adding maybe an inch to make the tractor turn shorter (never done it), so maybe welding is an option?

whoa! i just put the part number into Bates site, and it was $375, and they didn't have any.
maybe a vendor in red power magazine might turn one up.

You mean the steering arm? Worst case you should be able to get that fabricated, but it's the same from the C on up to the 404, or at least close enough that it'll work. Super C should be easiest to find.

Bates costs more because they disassemble their tractors, sort and catalog the parts. If you can find a pick-a-part style salvage yard where the tractors are out in the weeds the parts prices will be much cheaper. Of course you will have to go there and actually get the part yourself, no convenient online ordering.
