O.T. Propane prices/ caps in your area?

Received annual contract from my supplier of propane today. Curious how it compares. Pre buy price is $1.39 x estimated needed for contract period. If I just keep my account balance in the black and call when I need it price is capped at $1.57 per gallon. Contract length till May 2018. How does that compare your area. This is mid Michigan. Got to sign soon with someone. Current provider has kept prices $1.09 to $1.19 last 3 years. Been a straight shooter and will provide a payment plan (no extra $$).

$1.29 per gallon with will call, $1.24 with keep full. Illinois, St Louis area. No time limit to use it. Same price as last year.

Will Summer fill this week.....neighbor and I can go together....will be over 400 gal...quoted price .92 per gal. Looks like real buy compared to other posts !!!!

I'd look at trading in my 500 gal tank. buy one that holds enuff propane to last u thru the winter. Then the contract BS won't be needed. my use is between 5-600 a year.

Hello mike henry,

Pricing in the U.S.A. always amazes me! Dollar store $1 multiple patterns garden hose spray gun @ $14.95 at the big bix store. A 20 lb. propane refill $5 Mount Pocono, PA. area about 1 month ago,

Guido.

$1.09 here in Howell, Parker Propane. Check their website.

I talked to the propane delivery guy a couple of days ago. It's currently $.99/gallon. However, they sent the winter contract out about a week ago and it's $1.15 for cash price.
Kansas.

Ted I use thrifty here in Northwest PA. They are shady but I have enough tank space to hold a years supply at my place. As long as the gas is paid for and it's all in my tank in the summer I don't much care. In my area when you own your tanks nobody will sell to me in mid winter. I burn about 800 gallons yearly if I don't burn my wood boiler. The online cash price was .819 last week and .887 a couple days ago. I may have missed the low point. Till I talk to a human there and pay in full I won't be know the exact price.

$2.45 gallon in Napa County, Nor Cal. Don't use much, furnace runs maybe 30 hours a winter; actual time the furnace is on.

The house is really tight and well insulated, so I can go to bed at 10pm, 68 in the house. Wake up at 8 and it's maybe 64 with the thermostat turned down to 58.

The pilot on the water heater is what uses it up, that's running 24-7.

I see how little the rest of you pay, but because of the benign climate, don't use much energy to heat or cool the house.

Cars and trucks never rust out, so I'm not buying something every 8 years like the rest of you.

It's only the politicians and some of the feral residents that are a problem....

Getting it stuck to me big time for being a small user. Just paid $4.29 for the whopping 13+ gallons we used last winter. Grill tanks would be about the same price, but not as convenient.

Wood cookstove gets used all winter, and any other time it is cool enough to use a little extra heat. Newer gas stove with no pilots also cut the usage way down. Even cooking year round with gas, I could never use enough to get even the first level of discount.
