Baling Yesterday

I was also out baling late Thursday night , till 10:30 , but the moisture was of no concern to me ,my hay had never reached dry . And never was going to, it showered some before dawn the next day . I wrapped them all , if not for wrapping I couldn't get any hay. I have seen some grass hay made dry locally , but the crop as to be very light to get dry enough before the next shower comes through .
I really enjoy seeing your equipment , and I like seeing that MF loader tractor . While big tractors were come here durring the build period of your Case , and they are common here , Not very many large tractors like your MF were sold new around here during it's time , it would have been a very big tractor.
While your string tie baler works well for your needs , and I have had string tie balers too, now watching a bale tie , and how long it takes to up on the string , is almost hard to believe. Net wrap goes on in 3-5 seconds , takes longer to eject the bale then it does to put the net on . But I am certain your fixed cost per bale is far better than mine , lol. Thanks for taking us haying , Bruce

Here in north central Iowa we cannot get enough rain for the cracks in front yard to go away. Plenty of subsoil so crops look good but I do not have to mow the lawn except to knock down a few weeds. Haying has been going very well around here for established stands anyway.

Bruce, you might remember seeing that Massey Super 90 handling bales in the winter videos when it was -40 wind chill factor. It really is my year round right hand tractor. And it was just about the biggest tractor they made in 1964.Except for the big model 95 which was really a Minneapolis Moline in red paint. I'd rather sit in the comfort of the 2090 cab for raking but it seems a bit ridiculous pulling that little old rake with over 100 horsepower.
This little NH baler would not work for a serious cattle operation as it is too small and slow but for my size farm it is just right. I have never made more than 100 bales in a season.
