Overkill, But Gets The Job Done

JD is tied up with a sprayer, MF50 is out of service still, so mashed the 756 gasser into some bushhog duty today.

Beautiful day, but we need some rain.

Not overkill at all, I use a 966 or 706 all the time for mowing. Nice being higher so stray crap doesn't cover you.

Looks like it's smoking a little blue. Does it come out of it when warmed up or do it all the time? Nice looking set up.

Overkill would be a former neighbor who would mow pasture with an IH 2+2 with a seven ft mower. They also would haul round bales one at a time with it. Tom

This nice thing is you're up high out of the way of debris coming out from under the cutter.I like sitting high when I'm using the AC 6ft cutter usually use one of the Oliver 1550 tractors or the Oliver 1465 when pulling the 10ft Sidewinder.

I'm wanting to see a report on how that bad boy does at the local tractor pull! And don't go wimping out with a tale about how you can't go wrecking it because you work it, because unless you have it really freighted down heavy it will be a day off for it compared to its normal real work.

No tractor pulls for any of my tractors, though the 756 has seen considerable autumn olive pulling....

Bill, that's a good looking rig.

Worse case of overkill I ever saw was a Steiger 9190 with a chisel that was about 60 feet long used to chisel a small vegetable garden.
In the 80s a friend's mom wanted to plant tomatoes. The only tractor he had was the Steiger. He had his hands take down the fence on both sides, then run the green machine thru a couple times at 20mph! Then put the fence back up and mom planted tomatoes. He said he sold all his other tractors to buy the Steiger.
