When Pa raised the gas tax, stations started using the new price a couple of days early. It was an easy way to get some quick money.

The price of everything in the ground goes up at the same time.
 
Just came home from Krogers with 7 cans in the trunk and a full tank in the car. 500 fuel points, so 35 gallons at $1.58 plus about 15 more at $2.05.
 
Don't forget all riders of atv/utvs under 18 must wear a helmet at all times, even in private property starting tomorrow too!
 
Pumps at Kroger had a long waiting line. I filled up two days ago. I used my Kroger rewards points, got a buck off a gallon.

I was in TH 69-73 while attending ISU.

Back in the day, there was a "low cost" grocery store on the N or NE side of town. Scott Ladd rings a bell.

Just wandering what the name of the store was and if it is still around.

I went there when in college too, 67-72. Scots went out of business some time in the late 70's. They made some awesome hamburger buns their bakery.

The first Kroger store was built on the north side of town about the same time Scot went out of business.

A stock broker told me Kroger is the largest grocery store. They own many small chain stores. They keep their name. Many stores have the reward card, like Kroger. I can use my reward card at Shell to get up to a dollar off a gallon, up to 35 gallons.

What degree did you graduate with? I majored in Math and Physics.
