Summer , my favorite day of the year . What day is it going to be held on this year ? I know I haven't missed it , never been warm abd sunny yet, lol. I like Nate King Cole too.

We had summer early last week. Now the days are getting shorter with highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's.

I'll go out on a limb and say we'll see dog days with highs in 90's about 4 weeks from now when the grain is ready to cut and shock.

That was my last Lazy summer. I was fourteen, and though it was the first summer that I worked for the neighbor on his farm, it was not for very many hours through the whole summer. The next year I became the one to stack all the loads on the wagons. Eighty pound bales stacked nine layers high. :wink:

Summer in the south, when the bugs and snakes are as numerous as the stars in the sky. When the heat and humidity causes the sweat to pour down the crack ......in the parched dry soil. I hate summer but the music is nice.

Nat's remdition is good, but I like Andy Williams' version a little better I think......Nat's "Unforgettable" though...(pun intended). Saw the next to the last show he ever did at the Circle Star in San Carlos, CA...Last show was at Vegas.....
