Old: you said (I believe) that you sell allis c parts. Well I have a CA that may have lost the hand (live) clutch. Herd you can put a c axle in it to get by at least till you rebuild it. Would you know anything about this and would you have an axle???

Check on the Old Allis Chalmers forum there is a guy named Rick that can rebuild your clutch disc. I think you can bolt it together and make it work. as a straight axle. Randy

I had a CA and used it several years with the hand clutch working properly. I sold it to get money to go to school and after graduating I bought it back for the same price I had sold it for. The hand clutch had been bolted together and the handle removed. Never did remove the bolts.

Agreed, you would have to also replace the transmission and possibly the shaft to get a C or B rear end on it.

I have not checked the CA pinion shaft beside the C pinion shaft to see if they would interchange. The left side solid pinion shaft from a CA will work on the right side to give you a solid shaft.
For old duffers that have problems in rotating the upper half of their body can switch the hand clutch to the left side by switching the pinion shafts from side to side to make it easier to run left side cutting combines and such. The deck plate was stamped for a hand clutch knock out on both sides.
I have a CA with both pinion shafts solid.

jocco Rick will rebuild that and make it look like a new 1. I have purchased from him. Probably do it as cheep or cheaper than finding parts to put a straight axle in it.

You can get the lining kit form AGCO yet. Pull the axle off and reline the clutch, install any possible leaking seals. You will then still have the option of a live power.
