Just a few pics today of wheat harvest. This is the last field, 160 acres. Hopefully will finish tomorrow.

I posted this in the combine forum the other day, but it bears reposting. Dad got this about 35-40 years ago.

I just walked in the door. I got an 80 cut (minus the trees) and a 40 planted. I feel like I have been run over.

Thats a classic, after reading it I am now trying to remember when I was in Buhler Kansas and what for, I know I was there sometime in the last 20 odd years but can't get the picture of the town in my head right now.

NEAT POST--Thanks Dave. Back in 89 My son and I went out to see my oldest brother who was the service manager at the Deere dealer in Strasburg Co. It was during wheat harvest and the one service call we went on the cutter was running 6 7720s. He said he usually traded every year but because of the model change to the 9000 series he had to run the 7720's another year and he was worried because they had 7-800 hours on them. Wow-My Dad had died the year before and I had bought his 8820 at Moms sale and it had over 3500 hours on it. I asked the driver of the 7720 my brother was working on if it was fun running with 5 other combines in the same field, He said yea--the first day. I always thought that it would be fun to follow the wheat harvest.---Tee

Wow! 160 acres in one field. I used to think 40 acres was big.

What part of Kansas is this? I assume it's more in the western area?
