V belt guys dot com

You're right, their prices are good! Maybe too good, I wouldn't put one on anything very important. We have been ordering belts from Amazon, we get free shipping, and they're about half the price of buying local. The first couple lasted real well, the last one not so good, but maybe we have an alignment problem. A stick got into the belt on the riding mower, might of bent something.

The local Amish get all their belts from DJM in Ohio....I got a "B" belt (forget the size....) from them for $4. They wanted $35 in town. Ordered the two belts for my Farmall H. Paid $8 - HALF the price of ONE belt in town.
They were all Gates, BTW....

They state that they only sell B & D Power Drive Brand Belts and that all Manufacturers listed are for reference only.

I haven't bought from V Belt Guys but did buy a B & D Power Drive Brand Belt off Amazon for a 6' finish mower. This mower is hard on belts since it has small pulleys and the belt is bent backward twice over small idlers. I've tried numerous brands and also have found better life using the notched or X belts (BX-148). The B & D Power Drive Belt didn't hold up well for me. I got 1/2 a season out of it while I get about 3 times that or 1-1/2 seasons out of good belts. I've used Pix, Gates, NAPA, Goodyear and a couple other brands. I've had the best life on this mower from the Goodyear belts.

Me too,,I got one for my 6 ft jd finish mower,,JD dealer wanted three times more than v belt supply.I have used it a lot,it seems very good so far

I've used V Belt Supply at "vbeltsupply.com several times and they are great in my book. Shipping is super fast and the belts wear very well.

I've purchased belts from them several times. The quality is good, the prices great, but don't expect a reply, acknowledgement, or tracking number when you order. The belts may show up in a few days, or a few weeks. An email questioning the status of the order is routinely ignored. The only way to find out what is going on is to call their toll-free number.

I just got new belts for our Farmall C from Napa, and I wish I would've ordered them from YT! They were real spendy, but I wanted to be able to hold the new one next to the old one before I paid for it.

Are you buying just any old belt, or are you buying the ones made for the application? What I mean is, not all belts ate made to bend backwards. Some are, and they cost more but for good reason. They're typically Kevlar reinforced belts. If you buy just the cheapest one you can find, it's not going to last.

I bought the mower new and neither the original belt or the owners manual specify Kevlar. Definitely not from buying the cheapest belt I could find, hence the Goodyear cogged or X belts.

That said thanks for the suggestion. I'm aware of the Kevlar belts but don't have any experience with them, worth looking into further.

I'm another one in the column for vbeltsupply.com. I'm not sure about cross referencing through them. But I'm very pleased with the results I've had there.
