Dart sent me an award for 7 years and 1,000,000 miles safe driving. A place, pin, and a jacket. They were some behind on it th o because they sent the 5, 6, and 7 year pins. Lol. I've been with them for 11 years, but backed into a stair railing and b ent it once which restarted the safety time.

Congratulations, It is something to be proud of.

I drove for a major freight company for 33 years and I have all 33 year safe driver awards (lapel pins).

When I retired the company gave me a plastic plaque and a one finger salute. I don't think Dart will treat you any better.
 
Congrats, Jon!! You have every right to be proud, keep up the good work. Speaking of good work, I've not seen much fabbing/welding lately. That because you're trying to pay for the new truck!?
 
Congratulations. Seems like competent drivers are going the way of the dinosaurs.

Maybe someone could invent an app for these new phones to teach younger drivers what that lever on the left side of the steering column is for.

I salute you for your accomplishment, and I'm sure you see enough borderline drivers on the road to scare the crap out of both of us.

Congratulations! I have been 46 years without a violation, and yesterday I got a ticket for running a red light, when I didn't even run the yellow.
 
I guess they didn't see that post about running off the exit ramp when it was a bit slippery and how the modern truck saved you IIRC. Just joking, congratulations and well done, not easy with all the cars on the road these days and plenty of bad drivers. And as always we enjoy the daily funny and would miss you if they stopped. If I had saved that picture of ( your grandson? IIRC) with the dramatic "oh my god" expression I would post it now LOL.
 
Wonderful Jon , ConGRATULATIONS ,. bakt into a rail and bent it ? I did the same to a divider post at 6 am.,,. Yr of My divorce, i drove for a friend who had a fleet of 40 dump trux , never been to this concrete plant we were hauling sand to ,,. pulled in and saw how the other guy s were backing up a narrow steep ramp to dump in the pit, it came my turn ,and i bakt up to all the glaring lites and noise , got my tailend dead centered alrite , saw the red lite to stop . as i raised the bed , i felt a grating rub resistance , got out to chek , 6 inch well pipe was into my tailgate , and now bent a bout a foot ,. durn place was designed for 2 dumptrux at the same time,,. i lowered bed and moved over , dumpt my load , and kept it tp myself , no one ever called me out , luky me ,the tailgate barely showed a xratch ,,

A few days ago I pulled up to the shop door to get one of the laborers to oil the body for asphalt. I went to the back and the bottom of the center scuttle door was bent up so that it was open about four inches. There was also a bruise under the tailgate. The owner climbed up in and beat it down with a bar. When I got to the job site I commented about it to the guy that had driven it last. He knew nothing about it.
