I showed up to my first fields with my new to me last year self propelled sprayer. I was getting ready to enter the field name into the monitor, but when I pulled up it knew which field it was automatically! Awesome I said to myself. Then I got ready to go and it didn't know which direction I was going. When I was going forward it thought I was reversing into the field. Probably some input I didn't do right, but I thought it was funny. Remembered the field from last year, but didn't know if I was going forward!
 
...Then you get to the point when you forget where you were going and figure you must be done..

They took care of that at Freshman orientation at Oklahoma State. Took us out to the animal husbandry building and showed us a vial of semen and and one of urine, so we'd know.
 
The Trimble unit I use does the same thing occasionally. I have no idea as to why. Of course when this happens auto steer and section control are disabled.

The question I ask myself is, if this thing is smart enough to know I'm not traveling the same direction as indicated on the direction icon, why isn't it smart enough to correct the problem and not bother me?
 
I don't remember exactly what button but the raven viper pro would do that and there was a button on the screen you could hit and it would fix it.
 
Yes, I got it turned around just thought it was interesting it couldn't figure out which was forward. Forward would probably be the direction I was heading 20mph into to get to the field!
