spraying hay fields

Just sitting here wondering when is the best time to spray hay fields for dogbane. I have a couple fields that I just put up that had quite a bit of it in a small spot in each field. Should I wait till it's almost ready to mow again or can I spray the entire field with 2-4-D in a couple weeks after I mowed the hay? Keith

The smaller (shorter) the plants the easier they are to clean out. Go with the spray two weeks post cutting. My 2 cents.
Do you know of any spray to control bedstraw?

As noted above, I sprayed some hay fields about 2-3 weeks after first cutting. The weeds had started growing and were a couple inches high and vulnerable. The timing worked well for me

No I'm sorry I don't know what bedstraw is. We probably have it around here but it's most likely called something else.
