decided to diet.quit eating food,drink 1 8 oz protein/vitamin drink daily,under dr care/recommendation.so far ive lost 49 lb in 20 days,weighed in on dr scales only,i feel 10 yrs younger.only drink water,and take recommended minerals and protein/vitamins throughout the day,
 
I had a horse once that I was trying to train to quit eating. Figured I could save a lot of money. But he died after 89 days, the vet said he starved to death. It almost worked!!!---Tee
 
I lost 40 pounds in about five months when I started with the elliptical,but I've been stuck right there for a year now. I guess the rest of it must be muscle. LOL
 
Had one of those health things at work where they weigh you and take measurement. I was told my BMI was high but my waist line was small for the BMI to be that high. Told her it was muscle and she just laughed.

Good for you. We need more people to care more for their health and go on a diet.

I'm down to 170. Hit a wall, stopped losing, just maintaining. Weight in each morning. I'm
feeling great. Not on any meds and plan to keep it that way. I'm 68 and much younger.

That sure doesn't sound healthy to me, sounds like you have a quack for a Dr!

You should be having real food, healthy food, not processed stuff.
 
When you get where you want you can't go back to doing what put it there you'll have to learn how to stay full and happy eating other things and counting calories. Lifestyle change. But boy it does feel good to lose weight. Be careful, congratulations.
 
Wow!that's a lotta weight real quick. My endocrinologist said 2 lb per week is good. I suppose it makes a diffferance how much a person needs to lose? I lost 70lbs over 18 months via low carb and feel 10 years younger also. I have managed to keep it off for a year now.
 

Good for you - do not let anyone discourage you. I lost 85 pounds in 90 days and was a bit disappointed it wasn't more, but I am still going down. I eat half a grilled chicken breast in the evening, alternating every other day with two 90% lean grilled burger patties on the other evenings.

The next 50 will go slower than the first 50, but it is good to just get rid of it as fast as you can. You will feel so much better you can get more exercise and that will make it easier to keep it off.

By the way my physician suggested this zero carb, high protein diet and agrees I am dong this the best way.
 
Be amazed how much water you loose early on. For the first two weeks working out,it felt like I was sweating grease.
 
I don't want to have to ever go on a diet . So I weigh my self every few days. I am 6 foot tall , and this morning when I stepped on the scale it read 202 lb. My wife walked by just then and gave me the gears about slipping over 200 . Made some silly threats about no more pie ,Yeah right ! When I came in this evening , I called her over to the scale , I weight 197 lb. How can you loose 5 lb in one day ? Don't care , I can eat supper tonight , the scale said so . My target is 200 or less.Bruce

I think that weighing yourself nearly every day is important. It is execise that makes me gain weight. If I do a lot in a day then I crave an ale around 5:30. If I have one I am apt to have another. If I have another then I have to have ice cream. When I have one cup of ice cream I have to have another.
