Lucky drunk

While Raccoon hunting in Indiana, Our neighbor (Immediately next door neighbor) who knew we hunted behind his property, decided to see what all the commotion was about at the end of his field. He was 2.5 sheets to the wind. He jumped in his 59 ford sedan, and whizzed down the open field at about 40. We saw him coming, and expected to discuss what ever he had on his mind.
There was a terrible crash and the Ford stubbed its lights into the ground, and bent in half at the drivers floor distance from the front bumper. He had ran into the side (true 90 degrees) of his own 10 foot IH disk harrow. It had been in that spot for 5 years and was sunk into the soil to the blade spindles. it did not move. I ran (I was chosen as the runner as I was 17) and got my dads car and drove it to the site. He was not pinned in, but had a broken collar bone and nose. My dad transported him to the hospital about 15 miles away. The remainder of us explained what had happened to the wife and family. They then went to the hospital and the hunt was abandoned. Jim

Back in the mid 70's, I used to do some work for a local Dr. He had bought his teen son a new Cutlass.

One night he was drunk, driving around the curving lakeside road. Lost it and center punched a huge tree.

For some reason the car was towed and left in my shop parking lot. I looked at it that morning, recognized the car, assumed the boy was dead. The shattered remains of the transmission was in the front seat, car horribly buckled in the middle.

The boy was found wandering around at daylight, knocking on doors asking for a ride home. Nothing to show but a bad hangover and some 'splain to do!

An idiot manager that was a a company I used to work at bouught his kid a motorcycle. You think you know where this is going ???? Well you bet this kid crashed it into a tree. Hit the D.... tree so hard not only did he break ribs off of his sternum, he also broke some of the ribs off of his spine !!

Did you notice the accident occurred at 2:58 am? Lawyer might argue it's the farmer's fault for being on the road at that hour. LOL

If it wasn't for drunks there wouldn't be as much comedy in the world . I heard that in an accident a person that is drunk will be relaxed and has a better chance of being unharmed. So many times you here of drunks walking away from a wreck where others are hurt bad or killed.

The farmer may have been driving home from the tavern after it closed and his wife thought he was working late. LOL
