MF65 lift capacity.

I asked this on the MF forum and got no answer. I have an old MF65 that would be handy to move round bales for feeding.
Will a MF65 lift and handle a 1000 lb round bale ? Safely and without damaging the tractor?
No fluid in the tires or front end weights. Some of this will be on hilly ground.

Thanks for your experience.

You shouldn't have any trouble at all with the 65 and 1000 pound bales. I've moved 6x6 bales that were quite a bit heavier with one and had no trouble. Word to the wise, don't go down a hill with a bale on the back and the multi power in low. Don't ask me how I know. Wild and scary ride from top to bottom. Keith

I would sure think so I moved many bales that heavy or more with my 200B Case which is only 30 hp and it handles them fine on a 3pt bale fork

I think the tractor will be just fine, but just for peace of mind, I will recommend adding a few front weights, just to keep the front tires on the ground. Steering is much more responsive that way.

I have a guy who buys my 6X6 bales and they are in the 1500-1800 lbs range and he moves them with his MF35. He say it is a tad bit on the light side as for the front end so he sometimes has to have some one sit on the hood for him. LOL
